Mössbauer spectroscopy is a spectroscopic technique based on the Mössbauer effect. This effect, discovered by Rudolf Mössbauer (also Moessbauer, German: "Mößbauer") inconsists in the nearly recoil-free, resonant absorption and emission of gamma.
